Abstract
This paper presents a comprehensive short-circuit analysis for the grid connection of a photovoltaic power plant, combining standardized analytical methods with numerical algorithms implemented in specialized software. A detailed electrical network model is developed, incorporating sources, transformers, transmission lines, and loads. Short-circuit currents are evaluated for multiple fault types and operating conditions. The results demonstrate strong agreement between analytical and numerical approaches and support optimal equipment sizing and the safe operation of modern power systems integrating renewable energy sources.
