Abstract
This paper presents the process of implementing and commissioning a control system for a buck- type DC-DC converter using the Imperix B-Box Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) platform. The main objective of the study was to design and experimentally validate a digital output voltage controller developed in the MATLAB/Simulink environment and directly deployed on the hardware platform. The paper describes the overall system architecture, the implementation procedure of the proportional–integral (PI) control algorithm, and the experimental results confirming proper system operation. The obtained results demonstrate that the Imperix B-Box RCP platform is an effective and flexible tool for rapid prototyping of control algorithms in power electronics applications.
