Variation in average illuminanaces and uniformities for pedestrian crossings - case study

Abstract
Pedestrian crossings are considered conflict zones and require special attention to achieve high- performance lighting. This must provide safety and comfort for both pedestrians and drivers approaching the pedestrian crossing. Based on the general characteristics specific to pedestrian crossing lighting, the variation in lighting parameters recommended by standards was studied so that they fall within the minimum values, depending on the geometric configurations of the lighting fixtures.
