First LHCb results from proton-lead collisions at √sNN = 5 TeV

The LHCb collaboration studied the production of J/ψ mesons in proton-lead collisions at a proton nucleon centre-of-mass energy √sNN = 5 TeV. The measurement has been used to determine the nuclear modification factor and to compare the result with theoretical predictions. The analysis is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of about 1 nb−1.
