Recent searches are presented for heavy resonances, such as Z’, W’, and leptoquarks, in leptonic final states. LHC collisions at √s = 8 TeV are analyzed with the CMS detector. No deviations from Standard Model expectations are observed. Cross section and mass limits are established for a variety of new physics scenarios, which in many cases represent the most stringent limits in existence.
