An electrostatic storage ring has been designed following the pioneering storage ring ELISA , and it is currently being built as a new core laboratory for atomic and molecular collisions at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this paper, the design of the electrostatic storage ring together with an outline on the status of the construction are given.
