In the framework of the ALPOM II experiment, we compare the figure of Merit of two processes for the neutron analyzing power measurement in the reactions and in the beam momentum range from 1 to 6 GeV. Based on a pole model calculation for the cross sections and existing data for analyzing powers, this study suggests that for neutron momentum larger than 3 GeV, the process of is more effective for polarimetry.
