The LHCb experiment has been collecting large amounts of charm data, making it possible to perform precise measurements and search for rare particles. In 2017, the LHCb collaboration reported the first observation of the doubly charmed baryon, the . In 2018, the first measurement of the
lifetime, using the same decay and dataset, was published. This paper summarizes the content of both analyses, as reported in the 9th International Workshop on Charm Physics, in Novosibirsk, Russia.
