Cold multi-chopper instrument is a popular instrument commonly used for variety of scientific fields, built in reactors and sharp pulse sources and will be built in a long pulse source. In this article I compare the performance of those instruments, IN5 at ILL, AMATERAS at J-PARC and CSPEC at ESS, and show a merit/demerit come from the different characters of the source itself, and finally give a suggestion for a further improvement.
