New high-energy colliders are currently under discussion, and will potentially be operational after the completion of the LHC/HL-LHC program. They could open up scenarios for the exploration of the Standard Model of fundamental interactions and its possible extensions with unprecedented levels of precision and/or effective collision energy. In this talk, the strengths of the physics potential of the various projects will be summarized and highlighted.
