Published online: 12 September 2025
Abstract
In certain developing countries, drivers cause traffic congestion owing to a lack of lane discipline. Autonomous vehicles have been proven to improve traffic flow and road capacity. A microsimulation study was conducted to examine the impact of autonomous buses as a form of public transport on non-lane-based traffic.
