Abstract
Since the beginning of Industrial Revolution 4.0, Internet of Things has been a significant factor in booming industries. The world is now moving towards more customer centric approaches rather than only talking about customization and sustainability. In the retail industry there has alway s been a significant amount of customer interaction and with the startup world emerging rapidly in India, the choices of products have widened up and has led to lot of changes in customer buying behaviour. Internet of Things (IoT) has the transformative power of making smart retail solutions, personalized services, and data-driven decisions possible. This paper focuses on how IoT could be helpful in the retail industry to improve customer experience and deliver to them the products and services that they desire. For this research, bibliometric analysis is used to understand the various research that has been done in IoT in the retail services field from 2012 - 2024.
