Wepresent the branching fractions for the leptonic and semileptonic decays for ℓ = e,µ,τ and
for ℓ = e,µ. We use the covariant confined quark model with built-in infrared confinement for computation of required transition form factors in the whole physical range of momentum transfer. Our results on the leptonic decays are found to agree well with the available experimental data. We obtain the following results for the semileptonicbranching fractions of
mesons: ℬ(
2.85% and ℬ(
) = 2.70 %. The ratios of branching fractions are found to be ℬ(
/ ℬ(
) = 0.95 which is consistent with the recent BESIIIdata.
