Understanding the basic principles of polishing on machines with autorotating swing kinematics is important for the description and understanding of more advanced polishing technologies. The article deals with the theoretical and numerical analysis of the polishing process and its comparison with the experiment performed during the real process on the machine. The dependence of the mutual position of the tool and workpiece axes on the removal distribution within the polished surface was described and demonstrated
