At the "Laboratorio Nacional de Espectrometría de Masas con Aceleradores" (LEMA), Institute of Physics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (IFUNAM) it is possible to produce highly stable, elemental and molecular ion beams with a wide range of energies, depending on the charge state and current intensities, from nA to few μA. In this work we present the characterization of iron (Fe) beam. The isotopic species of Fe was identify by its magnetic rigidity for a given charge state. Energy and mass were confirmed using the Rutherford Back Scattering (RBS) technique.
